Support The British Liver Trust with Dry January

The British Liver Trust is the UK's leading liver health charity and is proud to partner with Dry January, as a month off alcohol can be a great way for people to re-set thier drinking patterns and improve thier liver health.

With alcohol being the main cause of liver disease, we are an official charity partner of the Dry January campaign, which aims to get us all re-thinking our relationship with alcohol. Alcohol is the leading cause of liver disease, which is the biggest killer of 35 to 49-year olds in the UK.

Dry January does work – almost two thirds of people who take part are drinking less 6 months later. Ultimately, reducing alcohol consumption improves liver health.

Signing up to Dry January and fundraising for the British Liver Trust will not only improve your health but support our work to support everyone at risk of, of affected by, liver disease.

"Millions of us are drinking at harmful levels and in the last forty years, deaths from liver disease have increased by 400%, a major cause of which is drinking too much alcohol,” says Pamela Healy, Chief Executive, British Liver Trust. "We’re proud to be an official partner of Dry January, which is a great way to begin to Love Your Liver and reset your relationship with alcohol.”
